Requirements

The client came to Mindfly with several needs including integration of their current reservation system, the ability to showcase each different room type and therefore achieve more online bookings, to show off and generate more awareness and business for their newly re-named restaurant: The Lighthouse Bar & Grill. They wanted the users of the site to feel like the online experience matched the sofistication and charm of the hotel itself.

Solutions

We started off with a bang of a meeting listing out the wishlist and ended up with two similar, yet different sites for the hotel and the restaurant. The home page of each site features a larger than normal rotating banner to really showcase the hotel, the food and the surrounding area. We gave the sites similar feels for cohesion, but wanted each to be a separate entity with plenty of ties between the two.
