I'm passionate about pretty. As a child, this often meant that my Barbies wore the most fashionable clothes and my My Little Ponies had intricately awesome hair styles. Growing up, of course, forced me to push away childish things and instead delve into drawing, art classes, and one thing I'm really crazy about — color theory (Despite this, my apartment is still filled with over a hundred little plastic ponies and more incoming. What can I say? You can't completely push away the little girl inside). I started creating web pages in high school using horrific rainbow colors, but I had to learn somewhere after all. Big dreams meant that I wanted to be a world-renowned Picasso with my art all over people's web pages (you thought I was going to say walls, didn't you?). Now I'm able to do exactly that, and I love it!
Being born in sunny California and living there for the first six years of my life meant that the move up to Washington was miserable for me. I thought for sure that I was going to just die in the cold, rainy weather up here. However, twenty years later, I can't imagine anywhere else that I would rather be. That last 20 minute stretch of highway north into town immediately told my heart that there's no other place in the world for me. Bellingham is just beautiful! And so, here I am — working at the job of my dreams, married to the most wonderful man in the world, and surrounded by a crazy crew of friends and little furries. Those would be my two cats and a ferret.
A girl can't spend all her time designing in a studio (Okay, I could, but then my friends and family would never forgive me), so I do have hobbies outside of art and designing beautiful websites. I love dressing up like a goon and doing Live Action Roleplay at Western Washington University, wasting my time playing video games, and delving into all sorts of different realms of make believe. To add insult to injury, I even write a blog about my adventures into various worlds of fantasy. After all, what's better than combining both worlds — That of the crazy gamer and the passionate web designer?
