Touring the Boogaloo Dashboard

A quick tour of the dashboard to get you going.

Transcript: Hello, welcome to Boogaloo by Mindfly Web Design Studio. In this tutorial I'm going to walk you through key sections of the Dashboard. We're here on our demo site and I'm going to log in, which is going to take us directly to our Dashboard.

To point out some key features: Here up top is a list of the recent pages. It lists the last three that you've been working on. So if you have some that you're constantly editing it's a quick and easy way to access those.

Down below that is the Member section. If you have a lot of members registered as admins for your site, this will tell you how many are registered, and how many of them are currently online.

The Extensions section only shows up if you have extensions installed. This site has a galleries extenstion. I have not set up any galleries yet, we'll be doing that in a later tutorial. But it is letting me know there is a gallery extension installed and I can access it easily here.

There's also a comment section on the dashboard. If you have that set up on your site, it'll just list most recent comments and let you sort through them for easy viewing.

There are several buttons up here on the top that are universal to the entire site. They're your main navigation. Many of them we'll be talking about on a later date when they become relevant to what we're doing. To just point out a few: To get back to your dashboard, there's a dashboard button you can click on; you can pick on the Boogaloo logo, and you can also click on the Dashboard symbol here. Each of those will take you directly back to this page.

If you see dancers anywhere on your site this takes you to the front of the site. You just click on that, this is what the front of our demo site looks like. We can click on the Boogaloo badge in the corner here and it will take you back to the admin section.
